* got his start in the boyband, waiting to die. they opened for a larger boyband & quickly hit it big in the early 2010s. the fame got to their heads & the controversies piled on until they were too hard to run from. paired with slade's messy situationship with the lead singer, this band was doomed from the start. they disbanded in 2019.
* slade's been trying to outrun his past since. he started writing his own music & has released a few albums since then. he engages heavily with his fans & tries to prove that he isn't the messy teen that he was back then. though, the inspiration for his music hasn't shifted. most of his songs are about that lead singer.
* the mask does slip behind the scenes. slade isn't as reformed as he'd like everyone to believe. he's messy & reckless & just as noncommittal as he was all of those years ago.

* made the mistake of falling in love with estelle (found on rockstcrs) all of those centuries ago & paid the ultimate price. she became possessive & jealous & isolated him from everyone he cared about. when that wasn't enough, she killed them all & turned him to have him forever. she also used him as an experiment to see what would happen if a werewolf bit a vampire. it resulted in him becoming the first made vampire & werewolf hyrbid within this universe.
* he's tried to get away from estelle on various occasions. he's run off to the other end of the world. it doesn't matter how far he goes, she will always find him & destroy everything that he's built for himself. it's what made him decide to return the favor to her.
* he can come across as very cold, distant, & arrogant, but there is a softer side to him. deep down, he is affectionate & quietly protects those that he cares about. it's why he pushes people away. he doesn't want them to become another victim of estelle. at his core, kieran is someone who is deeply afraid of attachment & loss.
* he is, however, very vindictive when he's wronged or feels threatened. for example, estelle will never know a moment of peace so long as she keeps him around & continues to force herself into his life.
* has the ability to create other hybrids, but does not often turn anyone unless he's proving a point. he turned my other original character, theo moretti, in a rage against theo's mother who wronged him.

* elijah lives like the world is nothing more than his playground. humans are just endless sources of entertainment for him.
* he can be charming when he wants to be, but it's really just his favorite form of manipulation. he enjoys the false hope he dangles in front of people because watching it disappear from them amuses him.
* as someone who was raised to believe that the world existed to bend to his will, elijah finds mundane life unbearable. he is constantly seeking his next thrill.

* made a deal with a demon in exchange for fame. it's no surprise her band blew up as quickly as it did. the deal, however, requires her body to be cohabited by the demon. she has to eat people to maintain it. it's a small price to pay to have all of the adoration & attention she wants. i can write her without this part of the lore if you would prefer to write without supernatural elements.
* it is rare, if at all, that seraphina creates a genuine bond with anyone. most of her relationships are formed due purely to how convenient they are for her. if she expresses romantic interest, it is most likely a form of manipulation to get what she wants from said person. when a person stops being useful to her, she loses her interest very quickly.

important notes.

* his dry humor & apparent lack of respect for authority keeps him in trouble more often than not. he will always appear disinterested & just isn't great at expressing his emotions.
* he's extremely protective of his brothers & not afraid to get into fights for them, especially miles who isn't good at standing up for himself.
* aggressive on the ice, less so off of it. that doesn't mean he'll just let people walk all over him though. he's competitive on & off the ice.
